So, we all moved on, scars and all.

From the book:

“Steve’s returning sermon focused on the God of second chances. Ironically, we were forced to stand by our convictions, and Everyday Fellowship gave us a second chance at building a true and lasting church family, no matter how small. The ministers who were let go fought through their anger and grief over how they were treated but made second chances for themselves. Even the discipleship minister made his way through a doctoral degree in another state. They moved on, but I doubt they buried it all by the wayside. My guess is they still bear the scars of what happened at FCCF as much as we in the pews do.” (Taylor, Joy S., A View from the Pews — The Inside Story of a Broken Church, 2022, Lily of the Valley Publishing, Santa Claus IN, p. 128.)
