Thank you for the 40 days you spent with your disciples after raising out of death. Thank you for gathering them, encouraging them and leaving your peace and assurance. I am not alone because your Holy Spirit takes every life step with me. Do I now believe? Yes, bolster me in times of testing. Draw me close. Help me stand when my knees weaken. Forgive me when I fail you. I pray in your name and power, according to the good and perfect will of the Father. Amen.
“Jesus answered them, ‘Do you now believe? Behold, the hour is coming, indeed it has come, when you will be scattered, each to his own home, and will leave me alone. Yet I am not alone, for the Father is with me. I have said these things to you, that in me you have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.’” (John 16:31-33)
