John the Baptizer twice declares you the Lamb of God. I see this phrase nowhere else in my ESV Bible, Lord. You are the Redeemer of my life; and the one who brought me out of the pit of my poor choices. You are the One who set my feet on higher ground. You are the One who gave me a new song and a new purpose. You took away my sin, my shame, and my guilt. You replaced them with perfect forgiveness, perfect acceptance and perfect peace. I thank you, Lamb of God, according to the good and perfect will of the Father. Amen.
“The next day he saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, ‘Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!'” (John 1:20 ESV) “The next day again John was standing with two of his disciples, and he looked at Jesus as he walked by and said, ‘Behold, the Lamb of God!'” (John 1:35-36 ESV)
