Lord God, I love the juxtaposition in your Word. What man means for evil you can turn for your good purposes. Like Joseph who was sold into slavery by his brothers, you created success for David when Saul sent him into battle. I’ve seen the working of your hand in my life in turning the ashes of my past into beauty. I thank you for healing my story and for using it to come along side others going through similar stories of their own. Thank you for creating in me a desire for your good pleasure and purpose in the name and authority of Jesus, according to your good and perfect will. Amen.

“Saul was afraid of David because the Lord was with him but had departed from Saul. So Saul removed him from his presence and made him a commander of a thousand. And he went out and came in before the people. And David had success in all his undertakings, for the Lord was with him.” (1 Samuel 18: 12-14 ESV)
