I’m thinking of life’s circles and of your provision in my time of need, Lord. You brought the right people and tools when I struggled. My errors caused division, but you brought reunion. My folly threatened my future, but you turned the tables for my benefit and for your glory. You stood in the shadow to see your word performed as you did for David with the holy bread and the sword of Goliath. There is no one like you who goes out for your beloved. Make yourself known to others as you have to me in your name and authority, according to the good and perfect will of the Father. Amen.

“Then David said to Ahimelech, ‘Then have you not here a spear or a sword at hand? For I have brought neither my sword nor my weapons with me, because the king’s business required haste.’ And the priest said, ‘The sword of Goliath the Philistine, whom you struck down in the Valley of Elah, behold, it is here wrapped in a cloth behind the ephod. If you will take that, take it, for there is none but that here.’ And David said, ‘There is none like that; give it to me.’” (1 Samuel 21: 8-9 ESV)
