Lord God, my heart aligns with Nehemiah’s desire to be remembered, not idolized and not rewarded. He wanted to be remembered by You for his work to rebuild the walls around Jerusalem. Remember me for good, Father. Remember my heart that attunes itself to hear your calling. Forgive me when I fail you. Remind me to pray, to worship and to exalt You. Remind me of all the good You have done on my behalf. Remind me to pay that forward so others can see Your goodness, forgiveness and faithfulness. Remember me for good in the name and authority of Jesus, according to Your good and perfect will. Amen.

“Remember me, O my God, concerning this, and do not wipe out my good deeds that I have done for the house of my God and for his service. Remember me, O my God, for good.” (Nehemiah 13: 14, 31b ESV)
