You keep tapping on my shoulder to complete the task you put before me. My stubbornness astounds even me as I procrastinate and find other things and activities to fill the time I should be working for your good pleasure and glory. Break through my defenses, Father. Reignite the flame you put in my heart at the beginning. Let it propel me forward every day to get the next step done. Help me move one foot before the other until I can say I am finished. At first, I doubted you wanted me to take on this challenge, but your confirmations are steady and all on the same topic. At the end of it all, let me hear “Well done, my good and faithful servant.” I ask your forgiveness for dragging my feet, for my hesitation and for my inaction. Be glorified in the in the outcome, Father. May I move withing your will in the name and authority of Jesus. Amen
“For you will not delight in sacrifice, or I would give it; you will not be pleased with a burnt offering. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.” (Psalm 51: 16-17 ESV)
