Jesus, my Lord, some days I just want your second coming more than anything. My heart goes to the next-to-last prayer in Scripture, “even so, come, Lord Jesus.” Like Simeon, I want to see your coming while I still live. Forgive my selfishness, Lord. The last prayer in your Word far overpowers any selfish desire of mine. John ends his final writing with, “The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all.” The longer you tarry, Lord, the more souls you redeem. The more hearts turn to you. The more lives stretch into eternity with you. Thank you for your great mercy. Thank you for your desire that all people come to a saving knowledge of you. I pray in your powerful name and authority, according to the good and perfect will of the Father. Amen.

“He who testifies to these things says, ‘Surely I am coming soon.’ Amen. Come, Lord Jesus! The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all. Amen.” (Revelation 22: 20-21 ESV)
