Father in heaven, I am a sinner called by name to come out of the darkness and into the marvelous light within your household. I am one who was in need of repentance, redemption and healing. I was saved by your mercy and grace. Fill me with your steadfast love that can overflow onto those in my circle of contact. Let them see your faithfulness because of the mercy I emit only by the power of your Holy Spirit. Jesus spoke Truth to the powerful Pharisees. He operated from His position of authority. The reason the Pharisees hated Him is the reason I love Jesus. He came for sinners. He came for me. I bring my praise and thanks in the name and authority of Jesus, according to the good and perfect will of the Father. Amen.
“And when the Pharisees saw this, they said to his disciples, ‘Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?’ But when he heard it, he said, ‘Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. Go and learn what this means: “I desire mercy, and not sacrifice.” For I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.’” (Matthew 9: 11-13 ESV)
