Father, my prayer for today is for the lonely. Be with those who have a heavy sense of emptiness around them. Let them feel your touch, and let them hear the whispers of your love for them. Fill the emptiness around them with your glory, and presence. Become an ever-present Spirit in their heart, mind and soul. Show up for those who feel lost. Become real to those who’ve wandered and wondered who you are. Show them that you are who you say you are, and that you can do what you say you can do. Rise up, Lord, as you did on the road to Damascus in front of Paul. As you did for Paul, take the scales from eyes that have looked upon you in unbelief. Let them turn neither right, nor left, but see you face-to-face. Be with the lonely and lost ones that are crying to be known. Let them be known to you. You are the God who sees. Where can we go from your Spirit? Where can we journey away from your presence? Show them, Father, that in faith your hand will lead them, and your right hand will hold them. I ask these things in the name of Jesus, and according to your good and perfect will. Amen.
“If I take the wings of the morning
and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea,
even there your hand shall lead me,
and your right hand shall hold me.”
(Psalm 139: 9-10 ESV)
