Father God, I am so far removed from the dark days in the pit of learned helplessness, unrelenting tears and seemingly no hope of escape. I sit in my current situation, not wanting to retrace or resurrect the memories, ready to slide easily through the last days of whatever life I have left. It was you, Lord, working before I ever detected it, who lifted me out of that darkness and into your marvelous light to move forward boldly. Help me lift the veil again to transparently show what you did on my behalf so that others benefit in seeing your works. Help me spread your unspeakable hope to touch brokenness, for you came near to the brokenhearted to save the crushed in spirit. Thank you, Lord, for what you did for me in your name’s sake, according to the good and perfect will of the Father. Amen

“Since we have such a hope, we are very bold, not like Moses, who would put a veil over his face so that the Israelites might not gaze at the outcome of what was being brought to an end.” (2 Corinthians 3:12–13 ESV)
