I volunteered as a divorce support group leader for almost eight years. What came out of that was a deeper understanding of biblical relationships and a list of twenty-five questions for participants as they navigated this new period in their lives and perhaps sought new relationships. I’ve adapted that list of questions that was well-received by the participants into book format. I pray you will find helpful and insightful information within Before You Kiss the Frog…Can We Talk?.

From the book:

“Before you kiss the frog, let’s talk. Let’s talk about choices that make your future healthier. Walk with me through a biblically based decision tree and not rely on aroused feelings and sensations that can lead us astray. I’d like to provoke some discussion regarding these ideas floating in my head, threatening my sanity if they don’t get expressed. Have you ever had something you were dying to tell a friend? Let’s talk, friend. Let’s talk about what makes someone a good prospect for a robust, lasting emotional and spiritual tie. Let’s talk about the frogs in prince’s and/or princess’ clothing. Let’s talk about trying to make that frog turn into your dream relationship. Can I reach you? Can I help you avoid the kingdom of tears, the stuff of my years and more than I would like to own up to? Let me share what I’ve discovered of the pitfalls and hurtful episodes I encountered.” (Taylor, Joy S., Before You Kiss the Frog…Can We Talk?, Lily of the Valley Publishing Services, 2025, Indiana, pp. 1-2.)
