Do you have a failed and devastating relationship in your past? I feel your pain. Were you able to work through the trauma all the way to healing? If not, this book is for you. May you find your way, with God’s help, to peace and restoration by reading how God became my refuge and solid foundation. Learn how God sees and values you. Read. Pray. Heal.

From the book:

“The message of this poem came from somewhere deep in a long-ago wound. I made the blunder of believing the love I shared was something it was not, and it led to years of struggle and conflict. I listened to the lies fostered by our society and my abuser, and I lied to myself. Please, don’t do that. Rather, learn what God says about how He sees you, and believe that. It is true.

“There is an interesting story about this encouragement verse. At one time, my vignettes played on a radio station in St. Louis, Missouri. One of the set times occurred during a specific program, which on this particular day was focused on a ministry that rescued women from prostitution. One of the guests had just finished describing her valuable work and requested help from the audience in order for her work to continue. The program went to a break, and “Don’t Listen to the Lies” aired. I happened to be listening to the show as I was driving to downtown St. Louis, my heart breaking for the women the show’s guest was describing, when I recognized my own voice saying, ‘The encouragement verse for today is, “Don’t Listen to the Lies.”‘ I was overwhelmed.” (Taylor, Joy S., Drops of Joy – A Devotional Journey of Healing, 2026, Lily of the Valley Publishing Services, Indiana, p. 26)

Come and join me on this journey of God’s healing. May a piece of my past lead you to a better future through God’s intervention. Read. Pray. Heal.

Joy S Taylor is a follower of Christ, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Her workdays were spent using the Master of Science in Accounting degree that God graciously allowed at the age of, well, greater than 40. She led a divorce recovery support group sponsored by her church for seven years, and spent more than a decade in leadership roles for Celebrate Recovery and Care Net, using what God had done in her life to point others to the healing only Jesus gives. Now retired, she concentrates on writing for Jesus from her beloved hickory grove in Indiana, yet devotes some of her time to volunteering.
