Gracious, loving and all-powerful Father, you are the perfecter of peace and the God of all comfort. I struggle with the happenings all around me this morning. I struggle with moving into the future. I struggle with my past. I need rest and reassurance today. Renew my spirit with your promises. Remind me I am blessed. Reassure me that you are in control, so that I can rest between your mighty shoulders. Holy Spirit, help me carry my load in prayer, lifting the needs of others, asking for your intervention in horrific circumstances, praising you when I see your hand at work. Draw me aside to abide in you. Restore my mind, body and spirit in order that I may persevere. Grant me your wisdom in making decisions. Grant me your courage to carry them out. I ask these things in the name and authority of Jesus, according to your good and perfect will. Amen.
