Truly God is good to the pure in heart, but my feet almost stumbled in my steps nearly slipped when I envied the arrogance and the wicked who prospered. They are not stricken like the rest of mankind. Their pride is their necklace, and their garments are violence. They scoff and speak of malice. Loftily they threaten oppression. Always at ease, they increase in riches. I became weary in pondering how this is, then I went into the sanctuary of God; there I perceived their end. You set them onto slippery places; you sweep them away to utter destruction by terrors. Those who are far from you will perish. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. It is good to be near God. I have made the LORD God my refuge. I trust forever in the name and authority of Jesus, according to the good and perfect will of the Father. Amen.
“Never the less, I am continually with you; you hold my right hand.” (Psalm 73:23 ESV)
