Remember us, O LORD, in the hardships that we face. Let us swear to you now, as David did of old. May we not enter our homes nor climb into our beds; may we not rest nor slumber until we find a place in our hearts for Jesus. Awaken a need in our souls for his forgiveness. Open our hearts to receive his acceptance and grace. Light the fire in our emotions to love and serve him forever. We bow in our repentance. We ask in fullness of faith by the power and authority of Christ, according to your good and perfect will. Amen

“I will not enter my house or get into my bed, I will not give sleep to my eyes or slumber to my eyelids, until I find a place for the Lord, a dwelling place for the Mighty One of Jacob.” (Psalm 131:3-5 ESV)
