Everlasting Father, you are the God over the infant and the elderly. You give great gifts to all ages. You call the children to come to you. You crown the elderly with gray-haired wisdom, gained from lessons of life and knowledge of you. It’s taken many years for my crown of glory to appear. I wear it with gladness, because it signals my past mistakes and missteps that you righted. It highlights my journey to know you; and it radiates my love for you. Thank you for never letting go of me through all the episodes, both good and bad, in the name and authority of Jesus, according to your good and perfect will. Amen.
“Gray hair is a crown of glory; it is gained in a righteous life.” (Proverbs 16:31 ESV)
