The leaders’ hearts are like a stream of water in your hand, LORD. You turn them whichever way you want. I bring the leaders in my nation to your mercy seat for your favor and blessing. Grab their attention and draw them to you, Father. Grant them wisdom and discernment. Turn their hearts toward Jesus. May they seek his face and long for salvation. Their ways are right in their own eyes, but you know the darkness of their hearts. Show them that to do righteousness and justice is acceptable to you and more so than sacrifice. Put out the wicked lamp of haughtiness and pride in their hearts and replace it with the humble spark of faith that fans into flame for Jesus. I ask your disciplining hand upon them in the name and authority of Jesus, according to your good and perfect will. Amen.
