Lord Jesus, you are the first and the last. You are the one who died and came to life. You know our struggles and our shame. There is nothing in the human experience of which you are not aware, even my deepest thoughts, and my heart’s desire. Keep me from the temptations of Satan. Help me be faithful to the end to gain your crown of life. Prosper your purposes in my life to your glory. Open my ears to what the Spirit says to your church. Spread your victorious cloak across my shoulders. Mark my path in your precious name and by your powerful authority, according to the Father’s perfect will. Amen.
