Jehovah Hashapet, you are the God our judge. The words describing the vision of John strike deeply at my heart. ‘When the Lamb opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour.’ Does it give space so the prayers of the saints can be heard? Does it accentuate the sobering reality of what is to come when the seven trumpets blow? Maybe it is both. Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne. Your judgment is sure as I see the binding of the seal slowly fall away from the scroll and the reality of its contents revealed. Grant us a pause for revival and awakening, Father God. May we see a mighty work at your hand that shows you to be the One True God and brings many sons and daughters to glory before the seventh seal falls upon earth, before the seven trumpets blow. May your Spirit hover above the peoples like he did over the waters and call the unsaved to Jesus by your good and perfect will. Amen.
