Oh, Father God, the text of the final book is truly final. It gives me the sense of riding a roller coaster through time. We climb higher and higher, cog-by-cog, to the pinnacle of the first hill where the seven bowls of judgement fall on the heads of humanity and the earth crumbles beneath their feet in great earthquake upheaval. The bowls come faster, and the consequence intensifies, yet some continue to shake their fists at a Holy God, creator of the very atoms making up their flesh and bone. No one knows the hour of your coming, but blessed are the ones who stay awake with their garments on. No one can stop what comes. I trust in your perfect justice. I trust in your love. I am sealed in the name and authority of Jesus, according to your good and perfect will. Amen.
“And I heard the altar saying,’Yes, Lord God the Almighty, true and just are your judgments!’” (Revelation 16:7 ESV)
