Lord Jesus, I’ve not always made decisions, small and large, based on my Christian belief. I either did not ask for wisdom and discernment, or I did not listen to your answer. The consequences came and brought their disaster. I had to ask myself, “What are my convictions, Lord? What are the precepts upon which I stand?” Help me not waver from your principles. Open my mind to your instruction and my heart to the leading of your Holy Spirit, that I may not sin against you. Lead me to the rock that is higher than I in the your name above all, according to your good and perfect will. Amen.

“So when the Samaritans came to him, they asked him to stay with them, and he stayed there two days. And many more believed because of his word. They said to the woman, ‘It is no longer because of what you said that we believe, for we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this is indeed the Savior of the world.’” (John 4:40-42 ESV)
