I pray in agreement with Asaph, Father. “Arise, O God, judge the earth; for you shall inherit all the nations!” (Psalm 82:8) I await a mighty work at your hand that all will know you are God. I bring your Scripture in to remembrance just as Jesus did Psalm 82:6 when he confronted the religious leaders surrounding him, ready to stone him. There is so much in these few sentences, Father. You deemed the judges of the Old Testament as little ‘g’ gods because they ruled over the affairs of men. How much more worthy is Jesus the Christ, as he is our High Priest and Supreme Judge? I am grateful for Jesus, the perfect judge who rules in perfect justice. Arise, O Son of God, judge the earth; for you are King of kings and Lord of lords who rules the nations. I pray boldly and in humility in the name and authority of Jesus, according to the good and perfect will of the Father. Amen.

“Jesus answered them, ‘Is it not written in your Law, ‘I said, you are gods’? If he called them gods to whom the word of God came—and Scripture cannot be broken—do you say of him whom the Father consecrated and sent into the world, ‘You are blaspheming,’ because I said, ‘I am the Son of God’?” (John 10:34-36 ESV)
