Peace, dear Lord. I sit in silence with only the sounds of the hickory grove audible. I close my eyes to feel your presence. I open my heart to know your perfect peace. I bow my head in thanksgiving and reverence for a Savior who overcame evil and death. Only you are worthy to be called Savior. There is no peace in my heart without you, Lord. As the world swirls down the eddy of pride and destruction, my heart is staid on you. I trust in your name above all names, according to the good and perfect will of the Father. Amen.

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.” (John 14:27 ESV)
