Lord, Jesus, there are so many deep aspects to these two verses. I see the resurrection and your appearance to the disciples. I see you asking Peter to feed your sheep. I see the forty days you walked with them before the ascension. I see the foretelling, and I can almost wrap my head around what it must have been like for them to recall these words after-the-fact of the empty tomb. They were eyewitnesses to all that would change the whole world. They were there for the beginning of the spread of the gospel. Thank you, Jesus. I give you glory, honor and praise, according to the good and perfect will of the Father. Amen.

“You heard me say to you, ‘I am going away, and I will come to you.’ If you loved me, you would have rejoiced, because I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I. And now I have told you before it takes place, so that when it does take place you may believe.” (John 14:28-29 ESV)
