Lord Jesus, you are Lord and Judge of creation, the Lion of Judah and the one who comes to split the temple mount in half. I struggle to wrap my mind around your wanting a personal relationship with me, but here it is in your words that ended the prayer for your disciples. You have made known Jehovah’s name to me. You have introduced me to the love of the ages, the love of God for God is love. You explain the indwelling of your Spirit, because I carry you in my heart. I think on your goodness in the morning; and I contemplate your mercies at the end of the day. Thank you for putting it forthrightly, Lord. Thank you for loving, choosing and redeeming me by your power and authority, according to the good and perfect will of the Father. Amen.
“O righteous Father, even though the world does not know you, I know you, and these know that you have sent me. I made known to them your name, and I will continue to make it known, that the love with which you have loved me may be in them, and I in them.” (John 17:25-26 ESV)
