Jesus, my Lord, I’m reading the greatest motivational sentences of all time. The apostles went from cowering in fear behind locked doors to confronting Jewish leaders and Roman magistrates. You had used these words before in the three years of earthly ministry, so the difference is not their content, but the fact that they now came from you as Risen Savior, who breathed the Holy Spirit upon them. Lord, help us go forward in the Holy Spirit to do the next right thing according to His leading. I lift this request in your name and authority, according to the good and perfect will of the Father. Amen.

“On the evening of that day, the first day of the week, the doors being locked where the disciples were for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said to them, ‘Peace be with you.’ When he had said this, he showed them his hands and his side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord. Jesus said to them again, ‘Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you.’” (John 20:19-21 ESV)
