Father God, you are the author of togetherness. The Bible begins with the one-anotherness of the Trinity, and it ends with Jesus sharing dinner with the Bride of Christ. Fellowship is far more than coffee and donuts in the lobby to me, Lord. It is you in me and I in you. It is my spirit intertwined with my brothers and sisters in Christ. It renews my soul to spend time with them. It sets my feet on a kinder path and upticks the joy of your salvation. Forgive my tendency to isolate myself because it’s easier than getting out of my shell to go meet. Keep me safe in the going, Lord. Keep my feet on the path with those who love you. Sharing this walk through life lifts my head to see your face. Let us see more of Jesus in each other today. I ask in the name and authority of Jesus, according to your good and perfect will. Amen.

“And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.” (Acts 2:42 ESV)
