Lord God, this present darkness becomes darker with threats of war, threats against our God-given rights, threats against our representative republic, threats against our livelihoods and even against our lives. I choose not to live in fear. I choose to live by faith in your Word, faith in your promises, faith in the guiding of your Holy Spirit and faith that you conquered evil. Thank you for calling me by name to come out of the darkness and into your marvelous light. I exalt you in the name and authority of Jesus, according to your good and perfect will. Amen.
“Do not quench the Spirit. Do not despise prophecies, but test everything; hold fast what is good. Abstain from every form of evil.” (1 Thessalonians 5:19-22 ESV)
