Lord God, you are Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides. Thank you for the Spirit-inspired writings of your servant Paul, who writes eloquently with your blessing and authority. I have trouble putting a few words together some days, but he wrote profusely even from prison. Thank you for his greetings and salutations. He makes a plea for your grace, mercy and peace at the beginning of his letters to Timothy; and he ends them with a call for grace. I ask for your grace upon my life. I pray your grace upon my children and their children, Father. I pray your grace upon my other family members. I pray your grace upon my friends and their friends and family. I pray your grace upon my church and your church world wide in the name and authority of Jesus, according to your good and perfect will. Amen.
“Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by command of God our Savior and of Christ Jesus our hope, To Timothy, my true child in the faith: Grace, mercy, and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.” (1 Timothy 1:1-2 ESV)
