The world teaches ignorance is bliss. I walked many years in ignorant behavior. There was no bliss in my heart, nor in the hearts of the people I hurt. Proverbs says the way of man seems right, but leads to death. But for the grace of God, I would still be walking ignorantly. But for the love and mercy of Jesus, I would still be spiritually dead. Because of the grace of God, I walk in faith. Because of the love and mercy of Jesus, I walk in forgiveness where joy abounds. I wish my words could describe my gratitude more eloquently. I revel in the joy of my salvation in your precious name and powerful authority, Jesus, according to the good and perfect will of the Father. Amen.

“But I received mercy because I had acted ignorantly in unbelief, and the grace of our Lord overflowed for me with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the foremost.” (1 Timothy 1:13b-15 ESV)
