Father God, thank you for King David’s example in this instance. He asked your advice. He listened for your answer. He obeyed your command. May we be more like this. Help us to ask, listen and obey in the name and authority of Jesus, according to your good and perfect will. Amen.
“And when David again inquired of God, God said to him, ‘You shall not go up after them; go around and come against them opposite the balsam trees.
