Heavenly Father, are we a people called by your name? We use this verse in prayers for your intervention in our time, time, but can we justly call ourselves your people? Do we love you and follow Jesus? Do we read your Word and apply it? Are we humble? Do we seek your face? Do we bow to your will and surrender our lives in accordance with it? Most of all, do we repent? Do we turn from our wicked ways? Do we ask your forgiveness for our sins? Do we qualify for the healing this verse promises? I pray it is so, Father. For the my sake, for that of my family, church, community, city and nation, I pray it is so. May your Holy Spirit move in all of us to be the nation your require for your name’s sake,. I implore in the name and authority of Jesus, according to your good and perfect will. Amen.

“…if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14 ESV)
