Heavenly Father, I’m sitting quietly to think about the song you sing over me, wondering what the lyrics say. Perhaps they speak of your sadness when I fail you. Maybe they voice your joy at my return to you. To think of your sacrifice to pay my sin debt gives me pause to reflect that they could be shouts of your deliverance over me. All in all, Father, the fact that the Almighty Most High sings over me humbles and captivates me. I lift my loving gratitude in the name and authority of Jesus who gave His all for me, according to your good and perfect will. Amen.

“Therefore let everyone who is godly offer prayer to you at a time when you may be found; surely in the rush of great waters, they shall not reach him. You are a hiding place for me; you preserve me from trouble; you surround me with shouts of deliverance.” (Psalm 32: 6-7 ESV)
