Lord, I want your will to be foremost in my desires. Waiting is not my forte; but plunging ahead before You move gets me into messes. I don’t like messes, Lord. I don’t like them more than I don’t like waiting. I will wait to see You move. I will wait to hear your prompting. I will wait to follow your lead, for your ways are higher and your purposes are anointed. Ground me and help me to wait on You in your name above all others, in your authority greater than any other, and according to the good and perfect will of the Father. Amen.
“Wait for the Lord and keep his way, and he will exalt you to inherit the land; you will look on when the wicked are cut off.” (Psalm 37:34 ESV)
