The prayers of the righteous are powerful, Lord God, but only because You listen and act upon them. You work continually for the greater good and for Your glory. There is no one like You who goes out for the sake of His beloved. Thank You for setting my feet on solid ground, on that rock that is higher than I. Thank you for bolstering my faith when I show signs of weakness in the fray. My assignment is prayer. You carry the weight of response and outcome. I work for Your good pleasure. You never fail me. Your presence is ever with me, and I delight in the times I tangibly feel you near. You are my God and I am Your beloved. I sing my grateful song in the name and authority of Jesus, according to your good and perfect will. Amen.
“I waited patiently for the Lord; he inclined to me and heard my cry. He drew me up from the pit of destruction, out of the miry bog, and set my feet upon a rock, making my steps secure. He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many will see and fear, and put their trust in the Lord.” (Psalm 40:1-3 ESV)
