Almighty God, you are higher than any authority of man. You build up nations, and you tear them down. You put people into power and use them for your glory. Lord, I lift up our military to you today. I praise you for providing men and women who give everything they have for their countrymen.
I thank you for their service.
I thank you for their commitment.
I thank you for their bravery.
I thank you for their sacrifices, for there are many each of them make on my behalf.
I thank you for the safety they create for me and my family.
I thank you that you raise them up, train them, love them, guide them and walk through all kinds of trials with them.
Father, I am grateful for those who died for the sake of my freedom. Freedom comes with a heavy price. Thank you for those who recognize the need and step up to serve. God, give a special blessing to our military today and every day. Let them know the warmth and comfort of your presence. Let them feel you bolstering them and sustaining them. I ask these things in the name and authority of Jesus, according to your good and perfect will. Amen.
