Father, You have restored to me the joy of your salvation with this passage. It brings to mind the silent winter day after a deep overnight snowfall. The sun glints off the pristine white surface in sparkles like diamonds, and sends a shiver of joy through me. The quiet times we share push away all the rumbles of war and rumors of war, because You are with me. Thank You, Father, for this peace that passes all understanding. I lift my praise in the name and authority of Jesus, according to your good and perfect will. Amen.

“Come now, let us reason together, says the Lord: though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool. If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land; but if you refuse and rebel, you shall be eaten by the sword; for the mouth of the Lord has spoken.” (Isaiah 1: 18-20 ESV)
