Heavenly Father, I take time today to celebrate the year gone by and look forward to a new one in which to walk side-by-side with you. You made a way where there seemed to be none. You stood by in the shadows to see your word fulfilled. You held my heart when I thought it would crumble to nothing. You uplifted my spirit with your Holy Spirit when I had no motivation. You energized my thoughts and writing when my brain dulled and tired. You brought new life into my world. You restored my soul. You renewed my outlook. You healed my body and my mind. You put everything into the proper perspective. Keep me in this place you brought me to, a place of contentment, yet, a place of urgency to complete the task at hand. I am blessed by your promises, blessed by your steadfast love. I am even blessed in the struggle, because your mercies are new every day, no matter what transpires– onward and upward with you in the new year. I praise you in the name and authority of Jesus, the bright and morning star, according to your good and perfect will. Amen.
“And he who was seated on the throne said, ‘Behold, I am making all things new.’ Also he said, ‘Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.’” (Revelation 21:5 ESV)
