Dear Jesus, I am a work in progress, far from the end goal. I grow to be more like You as I study your Word and strive in accordance with your Holy Spirit’s leading. Like Paul, not having attained perfection, I press on “to know the power of the resurrection,… to make it my own, because Christ has made me His own.” There is joy in this process, Lord, because I see glimpses of heaven in it and sharing eternity with You. Be glorified in my efforts, Lord. Please, forgive me where I fail you. I ask in your name and authority, according to the Father’s good and perfect will. Amen.
“For I am the Lord your God. Consecrate yourselves therefore, and be holy, for I am holy.” (Leviticus 11: 44a ESV)
