Father, thank You for telling me about Jesus in this passage from the Old Testament. I humbly ask that You open the eyes of the blind to see Jesus in all His glory. He is the New Covenant. He is the Light of the World. Please, Holy Spirit, turn back the heads of those who have turned away. Remove the hearts of stone in those who have hardened them against Jesus. Make a way where there seems to be none and bring a new thing to spring forth, a faith like rivers in the desert. Be glorified in the outcome in the name and authority of Jesus, according to your good and perfect will. Amen.
“Thus says God, the Lord, who created the heavens and stretched them out, who spread out the earth and what comes from it, who gives breath to the people on it and spirit to those who walk in it: ‘I am the Lord; I have called You in righteousness; I will take You by the hand and keep You; I will give You as a covenant for the people, a light for the nations, to open the eyes that are blind, to bring out the prisoners from the dungeon, from the prison those who sit in darkness.'” (Isaiah 42: 5-7 ESV)
