Abba Father, and God Most High, thank you for the encouragement of Psalm 37. David writes that you won’t forsake your saints. If we commit our ways to you, you will act. We needn’t waste time fretting about the wicked, because you take them in hand. The righteous content themselves with whatever you provide, and they can afford generosity even in little. You order the steps of the righteous and establish them for your glory. Though we stumble, you hold us in your powerful right hand. Thank you for that amazing reminder this morning, Father. Forgive us when we forget that you stand in the shadows to see your word performed. Be glorified in our steps today. May they bring us closer to the goal you have for us and closer to you. I lift up those establishing ministries in the local churches, and those teams across the globe working to follow you in the towns and villages where difficult living situations supplant an easier lifestyle left behind. Make a way where there seems to be none in their efforts to serve you. I ask these things in the name and authority of Jesus, according to your good and perfect will. Amen.

“The steps of a man are established by the Lord, when he delights in his way; though he fall, he shall not be cast headlong, for the Lord upholds his hand.” (Psalm 37: 23-24 ESV)
