Father, You are the God of all mercy and comfort. You are the God of forgiveness and redemption. You are steadfast in loving me even though I fail You. When my world was turned upside down and shaken, You held me fast. When darkness engulfed my days, You led me through to your marvelous light. Thank You that your mercy is new with each new sunrise and that it doesn’t fade throughout the day. Thank You for saving my soul and watching over me in the name and authority of Jesus, according to your good and perfect will. Amen.
“They refused to obey and were not mindful of the wonders that you performed among them, but they stiffened their neck and appointed a leader to return to their slavery in Egypt. But you are a God ready to forgive, gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love, and did not forsake them. Even when they had made for themselves a golden calf and said, ‘This is your God who brought you up out of Egypt,’ and had committed great blasphemies, you in your great mercies did not forsake them in the wilderness.” Nehemiah 9: 17-19a ESV)
