Lord Jesus, You know the highest and the lowest that life brings. You have seen my affliction, and You have seen my gladness. Help me to continue worshiping and praying in both circumstances. Open my heart to give when I have nothing left but You. Remind me of your sweet mercies when all goes well. Thank You for your Holy Spirit who guides me in prayer and learning more of You. Like Paul, I am grateful You allow me to see past present circumstances to the glory to come. What lies ahead outshines anything I can imagine. I thank You and pray in your name above all names, in your authority that is greater than any other, according to the good and perfect will of the Father. Amen.

“And the people believed; and when they heard that the Lord had visited the people of Israel and that he had seen their affliction, they bowed their heads and worshiped. Afterward Moses and Aaron went and said to Pharaoh, ‘Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel, “Let my people go, that they may hold a feast to me in the wilderness.”’” (Exodus 4: 31, 5:1 ESV)
