Father, the way you weave your Word so that the Old Testament verses point toward the New Testament amazes me. The man asked Elisha how his provision could feed so many, as did the apostles ask Jesus in Matthew 15. Jesus spoke similarly to the apostles before feeding the four thousand. Types and shadows tie one end of Scripture to the other under the same message that points me to Jesus. Thank you for the consistency, Father. Thank You for your Word. Thank You that I have access to dig deeper into it to know You better. Thank You for Jesus, who brought it to life and brings me to eternal life. I bring my worship and praise in the name and authority of Jesus, according to your good and perfect will. Amen.

“A man came from Baal-shalishah, bringing the man of God bread of the firstfruits, twenty loaves of barley and fresh ears of grain in his sack. And Elisha said, ‘Give to the men, that they may eat.’ But his servant said, ‘How can I set this before a hundred men?’ So he repeated, ‘Give them to the men, that they may eat, for thus says the Lord, “They shall eat and have some left.”’ So he set it before them. And they ate and had some left, according to the word of the Lord.” (2 Kings 4: 42-44 ESV)
