Creator God, You are so lovingly patient to hear my prayers and answer my questions. This verse reminds me of your sovereignty and that my prayers are requests and petitions. I don’t want them to become ‘to do’ or ‘don’t do’ lists, demands on your performance. I come with a humble spirit to request your intervention in my affairs and those of my loved ones, according to your will for us. I ask to be held under the protection of the blood of Jesus. I ask the same for my family and friends. What is to come, Father? Where are You taking us on this life’s voyage? You promised that our faith will be our sight. Let us see your glory in our daily walks. Let the path we are on lead us to your throne. I ask in the name and authority of Jesus, according to your good and perfect will. Amen.

“Thus says the Lord, the Holy One of Israel, and the one who formed him: ‘Ask me of things to come; will you command me concerning my children and the work of my hands?'” (Isaiah 45: 11 ESV)
