Father in heaven, the leaves playing in the hot breezes whisper of your greatness. I don’t always have the words. In this case, I need the help from David in Psalm 34. My soul makes its boast in You. I would not understand salvation were it not for your grace and Jesus’ obedience. You are the God to gives steadfast love. You are the God of justice. Your throne is established in righteousness. I look to You for wisdom and discernment. Father, be glorified in my praise in the name and authority of Jesus, according to your good and perfect will. Amen.

“Thus says the Lord: ‘Let not the wise man boast in his wisdom, let not the mighty man boast in his might, let not the rich man boast in his riches, but let him who boasts boast in this, that he understands and knows me, that I am the Lord who practices steadfast love, justice, and righteousness in the earth.
