Father, as Paul discusses the distinctions between believers and non-believers, he quotes your words from the OLD Testament writers. He tells us to separate ourselves from evil. In doing that, we are to separate ourselves toward God, to come out of worldly and to sanctify God’s temple within us. Draw me closer, Father. Remove any desire for worldly things and supplant it with an abiding love for You. You called me to come out of the darkness into your marvelous light and to be transformed to what You desire. I pray that your will is done in and through me in the name and authority of Jesus, according to your good and perfect will. Amen.
“I will make my dwelling among them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Therefore go out from their midst, and be separate from them, says the Lord, and touch no unclean thing; then I will welcome you, and I will be a father to you, and you shall be sons and daughters to me, says the Lord Almighty.” (2 Corinthians 6: 15b-18 ESV)
