Father, You knew me as a compliant child, to the point of codependency. I tried to please everyone around me, but I failed at the most important aspect. I failed to seek to please You. I leaned on being a good kid to be good enough for You. Since I turned to follow Jesus, Your Holy Spirit has taught me that all those good works were not the answer. Faith alone was the answer. Hebrews 11:6 says that without faith, it is impossible to please You. You secured Your promise of salvation in me through Your grace, and only because I professed my faith in Christ. I come to Your throne to express my gratitude that Your response to my faith is the gift of eternal life through Christ. Because of that principle, I am now of Your household. I praise You in the name and authority of Jesus, according to Your good and perfect will. Amen.
“Therefore it is of faith that it might be according to grace, so that the promise might be sure to all the seed, not only to those who are of the law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all” (Romans 4:16 NKJV)
