Prayer for Today

Jesus, You are the firstborn from the dead, the faithful witness, the giver of life everlasting, the source of living water for my soul. You are the Alpha and the Omega, the Creator, Redeemer, Savior and Judge. All things were made through You. All things will resolve through You, by your forgiveness or your judgement.

You called me by name to come out of the darkness and into Your marvelous light of forgiveness and redemption. You captivated my heart and redirected my steps for God’s good pleasure. The hurts done to me, the hurts I have caused, the estrangements because of dysfunction, all things for which I ask forgiveness for failing You, will be reconciled one day by Your grace and mercy.

May the peace and joy that only closeness to You brings refresh my heart daily and sustain me in the purpose You have set before me. I bring my offering of gratitude in Your name above all names, in Your matchless power and authority, according to the good and perfect will of the Father. Amen.

“In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace which He made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence, having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself, that in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth—in Him.” (Ephesians 1: 7-10 NKJV)
